Tasmanian Oak is a readily available hardwood, grown in Australia where
it is naturally occuring. The timber is easily machinable, very hard and
well wearing as a floor, and provides an attractive look for any modern
or contemporary situation.
It has also
been used as a structural treated timber in Australia, as well as decorative
applications such as frames, stairs, panelling, veneers and other finishing
mouldings and lines.
Tasmanian
oak is a lighter coloured timber, varying from a light yellow to a creamy-pinkish
colour, with a uniform, coarse grain. The straight grain of the timber
adds to it's attractiveness as a crisp clean looking floor.
