Saligna is most commonly used in New Zealand as a decking or interior
tongue & groove flooring. It is also used in some cases for furniture
manufacture.
The timber ranges in colour from a brick red to pale pink, and makes for
an attractive floor, as either an overlay or a full thickness structural
flooring.
It is a durable decking and is a good environmentally friendly alternative
to Kwila, and with age turns silver-grey as does Kwila.
